In its second season, this independent league started the year with six clubs: Easton, Allentown, Hazleton, Pottsville, Shamokin, and Mount Carmel. They did well enough that in mid-July, president Dobbins announced that the season would be split, and two new clubs admitted for the second season: Pittston and Wilkes-Barre. Unfortunately, the Pittston team couldn't compete on the field and its attendance was correspondingly poor. It moved to Tamaqua for a few games, and then dropped out of the league with a couple of weeks remaining in the schedule.
Pottsville won the first season, and the second season was awarded to Allentown after several exhibition games were removed from Shamokin's record.
